Links: Web Sites

There are plenty of wonderful sites on the web - here are some that I visit regularly…

Free Linux Operating System Distribution - Home Page

Quote From Site: Ubuntu is a community developed operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. Whether you use it at home, at school or at work Ubuntu contains all the applications you'll ever need, from word processing and email applications, to web server software and programming tools.

My Comment: I've been using Ubuntu now for a couple of years (I moved from Debian) - it's definitely a real alternative to windoze (as are most Linux distros).

Linux Online!

Linux Resources - Home Page

Quote From Site: Linux is a free Unix-type operating system originally created by Linus Torvalds with the assistance of developers around the world. Developed under the GNU General Public License , the source code for Linux is freely available to everyone.

My Comment: This site is a good starting place for those thinking about trying Linux for the first time.

The Linux Game Tome

Linux Game Resources - Home Page

Regular Expressions Info

Tutorials, Software and Reference - Home Page

My Comment: If you're thinking about doing a little more than surfing the net or word processing on your linux box, then sooner or later you're going to have to know something about regular expressions. Combined with a scripting language such as Perl, Php or Python, regular expressions can give you enormously powerful pattern matching capabilities.

Above Top Secret

Conspiracy Theory Discussion - Home Page

My Comment: Very popular site covering many subjects as well as the UFO phenomena. Lots of info about secret projects and conspiracy theories. A bit of a free-for-all at times but well worth a visit. The forums are  heavily used.

The Disclosure Project

UFO Disclosure Campaign - Home Page

My Comment: Brave attempt to force the US Government to allow over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses to testify to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret.

Be sure you download the 2001 Press Conference Video - congratulations go to the global press for it's refusal to give the conference the publicity it deserved. Unfortunately, in recent times, the project seems to have lost it's way.
